We knew that YouTube was going to come out with advertising this summer (as well as sharing profits from the advertising with popular video producers), and have been waiting to see how they do it. The folks over at Fresh Creation were playing on YouTube and saw how they’re going to do it. It appears that it will be a lower-third animation across (obviously) the lower-third of the screen. In the status bar at the bottom, it shows a yellow section that highlights when you’ll expect to see an ad pop up. It’s also interactive, allowing you to close or re-open the advertisement. We can appreciate that they’ve come up with something different that, more than likely, their fans won’t find too immediately intrusive.
