CNN/YouTube Debates

I just got finished watching the CNN/YouTube Democratic debates, and I hope that this will continue to be the way the debates will go in the future.  It’s one thing for a moderator to stand on stage and ask the candidates about their position on taxes, healthcare, or gun control.  However, it’s another thing to have real people asking how are they going to be able to pay for their drugs, another person brandishing a weapon asking their position on gun control, and another person asking them how they can do what they plan to do without raising out taxes.  Although I liked the real people, real questions format, most of the answers didn’t seem that real (or genuine).   Most of the candidates shot back with canned answers.  It’ll be interesting to see how the Republican debates go in a few weeks.
